Physician Biography

Chao-Tarng Cheng, MD, FACC, is the founder of Medicor Cardiology, which he founded in 1977, and he continues to be in active practice. Dr. Cheng completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University’s Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital.  He was the Chief Resident at Albert Einstein Medical School’s Lincoln Hospital in Bronx, NY following his first year of residency at Methodist Hospital of Brooklyn and Downstate Medical Center.  He graduated from Kaohsiung Medical College in Taiwan.

Dr. Cheng is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and an Assistant Professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ. Dr. Cheng is a member of the medical staff of Somerset Medical Center and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

Dr Cheng enjoys golf, swimming and spending time with his family.  He and wife reside in Oldwick.
