Leslie Fry, PA
Program Director, Acting Nurse Care Manager, of Medicor Lifestyle Medicine's Intensive Cardiac Rehab program, based on the Ornish Reversal Program for reversing heart disease.
Leslie is a licensed Physician Assistant with the State of New Jersey, having completed her MPAS at Rutger's School of Health Professions. When Medicor Cardiology obtained a certified location status in 2018, Leslie was the ideal candidate as Program Director. Upon completing certification with the Ornish Reversal Program, Leslie was instrumental in spearheading the program as an additional service offered at Medicor Cardiology to patients from within and outside of the practice.
As Program Director, she coaches patients through a 9-week intensive outpatient rehab program along with a team of element leaders. Her expertise provides complete support to participants throughout each session. In collaboration with Medicor physicians, Leslie provides strong recommendations and support to patients that qualify and participate in the program.
Joanne Gordon, RDN
A registered dietitian/Nutritionist, Certified Nutrition Coach, Certified Plant-Based Chef and Certified LEAP Therapist, specializing in food sensitivities and inflammatory conditions. Joanne has a BS in Health Sciences from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ and a degree in holistic nutrition.
With more than 20 years of experience as a nutrition educator working in both the clinical setting and wellness field, Joanne's goal is to help clients improve their physical and emotional well-being through nutrition and lifestyle. Trained as a nutrition element leader in the Ornish Lifestyle Medicine Program for reversing heart disease, Joanne enjoys representing and promoting a whole food, plant-based diet.
Joanne's philosophy is a holistic approach, leading to a lifetime commitment to health and nurturing a healthy body and spirit. She maintains membership through The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and The New Jersey Dietetic Association and is the nutrition spokesperson for the American Heart Association of NJ.
Debbie is an ACE and NASM Certified Personal Trainer and holds a Corrective Exercise Specialist certification with NASM. She has served the fitness industry for over 18 years with special interest in Balance, Stretching and Functional Fitness. Deborah enjoys helping her clients achieve success through personal growth and education. Every day is an opportunity to improve one's health and well-being, one step at a time.
A highly experienced licensed physical therapist and certified yoga teacher with a passion to empower individuals to find healing of the body, mind and spirit through the practice of self-care and yoga. Her physical therapy treatment philosophy as well as her yoga classes reflect her intention to create a safe space for students to connect compassionately with their body through meditation, breathwork, and asana to find joy, renewed wellness and resilience. Katalin's education includes a BSC Honors in Physiotherapy from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen Scotland 2000 and 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training (Iyengar based Hatha Yoga).
Since 2006 Kristen has been in the Health and Wellness field operating as Founder and Head Coach of Fitness Elite Personal Training Studio. Since 2018, Kristen has been an element leader for Medicor Lifestyle Medicine, administering the Ornish Exercise program. As a NFPT Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, a Certified Fascial Stretch Therapist and a Certified Animal Flow Movement Specialist, Kristen combines her fourteen years of functional training experience with passion and dedication for health and quality of life to bring the best in movement and fitness rehabilitation to the Ornish Program.
Meeting with our outpatient dietitian, Joanne Gordon, RDN, will offer an opportunity to create an individualized strategy to reach your health and weight management goals. We aim to build a trusting partnership with you and do not believe that one size fits all when it comes to nutrition. We cover your health care needs, including, but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, etc.
